Key books, articles, and conference proceedings

A curated set of texts

HCI is a complex and interdisciplinary topic. For these reasons there is no definitive book, journal article, or even conference that encompasses the diversity of research and practice in HCI.
Still- there are resources that students, educators, and even practitioners continually consult in their research and practice. These include the books and articles that appear in syllabi from numerous instructors representing a range of programs with diverse students and mission statements.
Please access this resource here. Note that this research was conducted in 2012, drawing primarily on syllabi from the 2011-2012 academic year. Updated versions for many of these resources may be available.
