Eid al-Fitr

Eid al-Fitr • عيد الفطر is 13 May (may differ ±1 day dependent on sighting of lunar crescent). The first day is observed.

Midsummer

Midsummer is the period of time in the middle of the summer. The exact dates vary among different cultures. The celebration predates Christianity, and existed under different names and traditions around the world.

Eid al-Adha

Eid al-Adha • عيد الأضحى‎. The first two days are observed.

Rosh Hashanah

Rosh Hashanah • ראש השנה‎ is sunset through next sunset.

Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur • יוֹם כִּיפּוּר is nightfall the first day and all day the second day.

Diwali

Diwali (or Deepawali) is observed on the first two days: 4th for the south and 5th for the north (generally).

Thanksgiving (USA)

The Thursday is the observed Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday is typically also taken off. Many in USA will travel during the four-day weekend.
