Over the past few years the SIGCHI Executive Committee revised and developed a number of new guidelines and dedicated initiatives under its SIGCHI Development Fund program.
Today, the SIGCHI Development Fund provides resources for the SIGCHI community to spur communication, innovation, and expansion of HCI in alignment with the SIGCHI Executive Committee’s Strategic Initiatives.
As a result, we made the decision to fold all the initiatives back into a single SIGCHI Development Fund with four deadlines per year and to expand the view of initiatives which might be supported.
This approach will allow the SIGCHI Executive Committee to review four times a year applications for support for local events, summer/winter schools, events which promote/support diversity and inclusion at a SIGCHI sponsored conferences and support for mechanisms to support underrepresented groups etc.

Our deadline is four times a year on the following dates at 11:59 PM AoE: January 14, April 15, July 15, October 14. Proposals will be submitted to our online submission portal.
