Join us for a panel discussion with the SIGCHI Social Impact awardees for this year: Liz Gerber, Jennifer Mankoff, and Aaditeshwar Seth. This session will begin with a short presentation from each of the awardees, before we together explore topics around the intersection of social impact in research and real world impact outside of research. We will touch on topics such as what social impact has meant to the speakers at different stages of their careers, how to balance academic impact with social impact and how to balance activism, advocacy, and research.
