IIT Bombay Student Chapter

IIT Bombay ACM SIGCHI Student Chapter was chartered on November 22, 2019. The members are undergraduate, graduate and PhD students of IIT Bombay with an interest in HCI (Human-Computer Interaction). They aim to serve as the first front to promote HCI education, research and practice among their members and local community; and building bridges between academics, practitioners and students in the field of HCI.

Our chapter is located located in Mumbai, India. Marathi is the language spoken here. “Kasa kaay!” means hello / what’s up / how are things? It is pretty commonly used in Marathi. One of the first phrases one learns when they come here. They’re in songs as well. This design has a cultural reflection of the chapter.”
