SUMMARY:Structuring Solidarity in SIGCHI
DESCRIPTION:We are a global community\, and it is crucial that we come together to make sense of the ongoing war in Ukraine and its impact on the members of our community. \nIn our public EC meeting last week\, we discussed this war and attempted to brainstorm how we might best support our community members who continue to be impacted by it. We are thankful to many SIGCHI members who were present at this meeting and participated\, highlighting possibilities for us to reach out and support our community\, calling for greater attention to how the war and conflict impact us. We hope to better serve this articulated need for support and solidarity now and in future\, confident in the belief that SIGCHI will be the stronger for it. Please join us at our open sessions next week (led by Cale Passmore\, AC Equity) on structuring solidarity in SIGCHI. \nPlease join this open session via ZOOM. \nLet us know (via email: sigchi-access@acm.org) if you have any accessibility requests (e.g.\, CART\, SLI)\, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
