SUMMARY:SIGCHI EC March Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Our SIGCHI Executive Committee Meeting will take place on March 29\, at 2 pm UTC (Zoom link). The agenda includes the following items\, plus miscellaneous updates and audience input that may come up. Please note: the March 29 meeting will be approx. 30 minutes long.  \nInvitation: Participation on the SIGCHI Communications Committee (~5 mins) \nOur VP for Communications\, Tammy Clegg\, has written up her vision for SIGCHI communications\, focused on local/global outreach and participation\, which she will outline. \nUpdate: SIGCHI Accessibility Committee (~5 mins) \nStacy Branham\, our AC for Accessibility\, will share updates from the SIGCHI Accessibility Committee’s working groups. \nDiscussion: Direction of SIGCHI Funds towards Alcohol at EC-Funded Events (~15 mins) \nAndrew Kun (VP for Finance) will be soliciting community input on crafting policy around the direction of SIGCHI funds towards alcohol purchase/consumption at EC-funded events. \nMiscellaneous Updates/Q&A (~5 mins) \nTime-permitting\, Neha Kumar (President) will briefly summarize what the EC and its committees have been up to in the last month (e.g.\, forming committees\, finalizing SIGCHI awardees\, etc.) and take questions. \n***\nThe EC conducts public meetings on a monthly basis. These take place virtually on Zoom. We welcome participation from members\, within time constraints. We will be providing a video recording and meeting notes for all meetings on our website. \nPlease let us know (via email: sigchi-access@acm.org) if you have specific accessibility requests\, and our Accessibility Committee will do their best to accommodate them. We also aim to provide SLI at all meetings.
